If managed, oily skin is beneficial to long term skin care.
Very few of us whom suffer from oily skin consider it a benefit in the life long battle with skin care. In fact, we find it to be a curse. Constantly having to wash your face, or powder your nose is a sure sign of oily skin, which if not treated can lead to dreaded acne. But, if properly cared for, your oily skin could be the answer to skin problems later in life. Oily skin means skin is kept moist frequently. Without moisture, skin dries out, making the formation of fine lines and wrinkles easier. However, this is no excuse for letting oily skin take over your world. A few simple steps a couple of times a day will keep you looking radiant:
- Only use oil free products. If products are recommended for oily skin, even better.
- Avoid cleansers and toners containing alcohol as these can over dry skin
- Washing your face twice a day to combat oil production
- Powder cosmetics absorb more moisture than liquids, making them the perfect solution to oily skin
The cause of oily skin for each person is different. Some experience an increase in sebum due to hormonal changes, while others may sweat frequently, causing excess oil to build up on the skin. But, learning how to care for your skin will keep you looking beautiful throughout your life.
