Singapore Airline (SIA) took delivery of the Airbus A380 at Toulouse, France today. This mark an aviation history, as the A380 is the world’s largest passenger plane.
Half again as huge as a Boeing 747, the A380 first appeared on Airbus’ drawing board in 1996. It is the European aircraft manufacturer’s most ambitious project to date and a critical step in its efforts to rebound from a string of troubles. While the aerial mammoth is capable of carrying 800 passengers in its double-decker fuselage, Singapore Airlines has fitted its first ten A380 planes with just 471 seats.

Some people don’t like to fly on commercial airlines. There are several reasons for this. Lately, it seems to be the most important reason for people not wanting to fly commercial is all the added security that’s been implemented since all of the security scares at airports. These checkpoints and thorough searches that are required of every passenger are so time consuming that it often takes hours before you can even get on the plane. The other reason why people don’t like to fly commercial airline flights is because of all the strangers they’re packed in with. The seats on a plane are so close together to accommodate more passengers that you are often sandwiched between two undesirable people for a long, often hours long, flight.

I had no idea how out of compliance I was. Just reading OSHA safety regulations is a nightmare. They do nothing to make it easy for you, and nothing in OSHA safety regulations is as simple as wear a helmet, or don’t work your men all day without a few breaks. Everything has technical specifications and procedures. I guess I understand. If they were working under a ruthless boss who didn’t care about their well being, OSHA safety regulations would be the only safeguard that my crew would have. But I can’t help wishing for a simpler, more common-sense approach to safety.

If you are having your wedding reception out of doors, that opens the door for many activities that would be hard to pull off indoors. You can plan games and activities based on the outdoor theme and carry that theme indoors if part of the reception is inside as well.
Depending on where the reception will be held, you can plan many activities based on the setting and the custom made wedding cake too. Whether it is the park or on a farm, there are a myriad of activities you can plan.

The late 60s to early 70s saw a new challenger emerge to challenge Ferrari. Formerly competing with smaller cars only, the Germans entered the new 3 litre sports car prototype class in 1968 with the Porsche 908, while Ferrari raced the Ferrari 312P in only few events in 1969. In March of that year, the presentation of the 5 litre Porsche 917, built in advance in 25 exemplars, had surprised also Ferrari, which answered later that year with the production of 25 Ferrari 512S, funded from the money gained by the FIAT deal. At that time, Porsche had almost a full season of experience with their new car, though, and also taken the World Sportscar Championship where Ferrari was only 4th.
The year 1970 saw epic battles between the two teams and the many cars they entered, yet Porsche won all races except the 12 Hours of Sebring, where the victorious car and its drivers Ignazio Giunti/Nino Vaccarella/Mario Andretti had their origins in Italy. Ferrari decided to give up the 512 in 1971 in order to prepare the new Ferrari 312PB for the 1972 season, when only 3 litre class would be allowed. In addition to Porsche, the old national rival with its Alfa Romeo T33/3 also had won two races in 1971, and thus was ranked 2nd in the World Championship, above Ferrari.

During the Civil Rights Movement, Atlanta stood apart from Southern cities that supported segregation, and became known as the “City Too Busy to Hate. The city’s progressive civil rights record made it increasingly popular as a relocation destination for African Americans, and the city’s population became majority-black by 1972. African Americans soon became the dominant political force in the city; since 1974, all of the mayors of Atlanta have been African-American, as well as the majority of the city’s fire chiefs, police chiefs, and other high-profile government officials.

There is nothing better than receiving a Christmas present that is personal and unique. It is entirely too easy to hit the malls and purchase something that a million other people have purchased for someone else as well. That’s not personal - that’s just shopping. Several years ago, I had just had my daughter and was on such a tight budget. I had only about $50 available for buying Christmas presents for my friends and family and a list of about 20 people that I needed to gift a gift too.
No time like the holidays to think about Christmas Gifts

Time spent waiting goes without saying. Most of the time when it comes to public commercial flights, most of your time is wasted, especially waiting at the departure hall, going through the hectic luggage system along with hundreds or even thousands of others, going through the hogging security system which sometimes would take your patience away and many more.
The worst part of it nowadays, after the incident of September 11 the security system at all airports has become very troublesome indeed. Starting in the year 2001, you have to be at least 2 or 3 hours earlier than your flight time.

We gather to celebrate life, and family, and those we love. We gather to enjoy good food, good conversation and good company. We reminisce about past holidays, remember those we love who are no longer with us, and plan for the future. We share photos, we share gifts, and we share laughs. At Christmas Time we look for the innocent sparkle in our children’s eyes as we help them to create their own memories, and tuck them soundly into bed with a smile on their faces as, “visions of sugar plums dance in their heads.
No matter our age, our race, or our nationality - No matter our heritage, our upbringing, or our traditions - At Christmas Time, we live, we laugh, and we love. So don’t say Happy Holidays - or Seasons Greetings - say it out loud - say Merry Christmas!

One parenting board I used to frequent had one particular woman who was a long-standing member. Her life seemed to be full of drama, and she continually talked about leaving her husband, and how horrible her life was. She gained a lot of sympathy from many of the board members, and many felt they needed to watch over her. What happened next is a common story on some Discussion Boards. John Lennon, I think, started the trend of a Christmas song with a higher consciousness - with “And so this is Christmas, and what have you done? and “And so this is Christmas (war is over), for weak and for strong (if you want it), the rich and the poor ones, the road is so long…. Imagine (or remember) how those frolicky, campy, or solemn and religious Christmas songs now had the words “war and “fight directly stated rather than implied? Stunning.
