Accessibility of Public Records Search

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

The information that has been filed or recorded by local, state, federal or other government agencies is referred to as public records. These Public Records Search are usually made by the federal and local government, or by the individual himself. The government holds these kinds of records and they are made accessible by any member of the public through services which can either be free-of-charge or with administrative fee. Federal, state, and local regulations determine the availability of these records.

Public Records Search can be conducted through the Internet or with the use of other available sources. Although these are labeled as public records, getting access to them is not that easy, simple, or free all the time. Various states have different rules and regulations that one has to adhere in order to obtain such public records for whatever purpose. There are states that disclose the personal information of a person without his consent. Others just don’t provide more information.

One of the most commonly searched public records is the Public Criminal Records. Access to this information requires you to abide through certain legislation from various states before you can get it. But that doesn’t mean that you don’t have means of having it anymore. You can still find some information through searching from the website of the Federal Bureau of Prisons and other sites that provide records on sexual offenders that have been released. These web sites are said to be accessible for free.

Most of the states have restrictions when it comes to accessing these criminal records. Before you can have it, you still have to provide the person’s birth date and Social Security number. Potential employers can have access to this information for them to use in making a decision as to hire a certain applicant or not. However, law mandated that the applicant should be informed about the criminal background check that will be undergone for him and he should also be informed about the information that was obtained from the search.

People perform a Public Record Search for various reasons. It can be used to track down those people whom they haven’t met for a long period of time already. You can even find those fellows who have changed their names several times. Perhaps you happen to live beside a suspicious neighbor. What else can you do to protect you and your family from any harm? Searching for these public records will give you peace of mind and answers to your mind’s questions.

In addition to that, Public Criminal Records are also useful in tracing your family history. A lot of people have enjoyed the benefits of being able to put their families together in just a short moment over the Internet. Such information that you can obtain will then be kept by the next generation and your clan will be preserved. Therefore, it is of no doubt that public records are indeed beneficial to everyone and it serves a lot of purposes.

Conservatives Teapart from the GOP

Friday, February 19th, 2010

I was watching a debate this morning on fox where the democrat was accusing the republicans of deliberately not voting for jobs legislation because they don’t want the democrats to succeed in any way. Well this was almost comical to me because here is a guy who was an adviser to Biden so he is very typical of the left. Anyone who has been watching the news the past 9 years knows that these same democrats voted against everything that President Bush put on the table or the republicans in general. What a hypocrite.

I don’t belong to either party. I am a teapart. As far as I am concerned the republicans are light socialists and the democrats range from moderate socialists to marxists. Now I know a progressive is reading that and saying so what. Well those who realize that the constitution worked great until it began being ignored in the 1960’s, are the people you see on the news attending tea party rally’s. These teaparts are tired of being told what to do by big brother and are rising up before they lose the ability to rise up. If you want to live under an iron fist, then form cult and be happy. But those who treature liberty should not be in-slaved under marxism just because that is your thing.

Why is Small Business Not Hiring?

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

I am in business for myself. My number one goal, besides making
a profit, is not having employees. I wonder how many other small
business owners feel the same way? It’s no surprise that the
unemployment rate hangs above 10%. The government is smothering
small business. Too bad Obama only hires Ivy League academics
with big business buddies for advisers.

I used to have employees. My business was providing marketing
research, sales consulting, and sales services to small
technology companies. All my employees worked from home and were
located in several states. The work was all on computers and
phones. It seemed so simple.

Ideal teacher

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

I visualize my ideal teacher to be an incarnation of a motivator, facilitator, to facilitate me with pearls of knowledge, philosopher, whose philosophy becomes an epic book for me to be referred forever and a friend in the time of despair to encourage me.

I would love to become an ardent student of an ideal teacher who is synonyms of honesty, truthful, straight forward, humble, knowledge bank and charismatic personality. Above all he should be a good human being to present this world his carbon copy with all imbibed knowledge.

Purchase domestic or import – artificial grass

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

So have you every really considered what it means to “buy American”? What exactly is the objective value of doing that? Does it create jobs? Does it result in a better quality product? Does it save you money? Does it result in better service? What exactly constitutes “buying American”? When you buy a Toyota is that buying American? Usually the answer is No because Toyota is Japanese company – but would you feel the same way knowing that Toyota has a assembly plant in California and the majority of its parts come from the local region? Is it not buying American even though it is a Japanese parent? After all – it creates California jobs and provides for local California businesses. If that’s not buying American then why are legislators in Sacramento scared about that plant shutting down? The reality is that in today’s globally connected economy – “buying American” is nothing more than an advertising gimmick!

Let’s shift gears and focus on the artificial turf industry. A popular artificial grass and synthetic turf discussion topic today is whether or not it makes sense to pay the premium for using a domestically manufactured product – as opposed to an imported artificial lawn or synthetic turf product. There are certainly legitimate reasons to go either way – a domestic artificial grass lawn or an imported synthetic turf. There is value is “buying American” – job creation. There is also value in buying an import – if that imported product is of the same or superior quality for the same or a lesser price.

As already alluded to above – the automobile industry is a demonstration of American values – we are willing to purchase a domestically made product and even potentially willing to pay a modest premium but in the end we as consumers are not willing to accept less for more! We want more for less – which is why Chrysler and GM are in bankruptcy. For too long they made inferior products and charged more for them.

So back to the subject of artificial grass and synthetic turf. It is very cliche right now for artificial grass dealers to shout out their products are “American made” – as if being imported implies an inferior product. But the reality is – they are not all “American made” – they are “American assembled”. The artificial grass industry is filled with dozens of manufacturers – that all buy the raw materials from the same domestic AND international suppliers. Tiger Turf artificial grass – they are an Australian company, that purchased a Canadian yarn extrusion company, and recently opened a facility in Texas – that now advertises “American made”. The same artificial grass yarn – from that same artificial grass extrusion company – now owned by that same artificial grass manufacturing company – is used in products assembled in China! Don’t get me wrong – its a great yarn. My point is – this isn’t really “buying American” anymore that buying the grass from China is! It doesn’t create any more jobs! It doesn’t keep any more money domestically! Buying the Chinese product – still puts money (and jobs) in the pockets of that Canadian yarn company, and in the hands of that Australian grass manufacturer that owns the Canadian yarn company, that funds that Texas assembly plant. It also puts money (and jobs) in the hands of that domestic importing/shipping company, and the domestic distribution company, and the hands of that local artificial grass installer/contractor that installs your job. How about where all the labor, raw materials, and R&D for the machines that are built used in the extrusion, tufting, and coating processes – domestic and international! Did I tell you that the backings used by the majority of the manufacturers – comes from a US company?

Now I am not advocating purchasing an imported artificial grass or synthetic turf product (or for that matter an Australian, Canadian, Chinese or European) over a domestic product. I am simply saying purchase the artificial grass and/or synthetic turf product that you think is the best value for you, all things considered – taking into account your own personal values. Its sexy to be on the “Walmart is Evil” bandwagon – until the economy suffers and while Nordstroms suffers Walmart remains busy! So don’t purchase an artificial grass or synthetic turf simply because it is made domestically and don’t not purchase an artificial grass and/or synthetic turf because it was imported. Pick the best grass.

Challenge manufacturers – domestic and foreign – to produce the best artificial grass lawn products for the best possible pricing. In that scenario we all win.

It is for this reason that Purchase Green is an artificial grass dealer that offers both domestically produced and imported products.

Commitment in Organizations

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

The sociologist Etzioni argues that commitmentâ€â€?and the authority that organizations have over membersâ€â€?is rooted in the nature of employee involvement in the organization. Involvement takes one of three forms, ranging from total commitment to no commitment at all. Moral involvement, based on positive and intense orientation to the organization, results from internalization of the organization’s values, goals, and norms. Calculative involvement is less intense and rests on an exchange relationship between the individual and the organization. People become committed to an organization to the extent that they perceive some beneficial or equitable exchange relationship. Alienative involvement is a lack of commitment, occurring when members feel constrained by circumstances to belong to the organization but do not identify with it.

There is Plenty of Information Available from Animal Rights Welfare Groups

Friday, November 28th, 2008

For me, supporting animal rights is a no-brainer. After all, who could possibly be for being cruel to animals? It just doesn’t seem like a reasonable position! We have to do all we can to protect the rights of animals, people, and anything that can feel pain. The big debate is where animal protection should start.

For example, many people in the animal rights movement believe that any animal experimentation, use of animal products, or even ownership of pets is abusive. Other people disagree and draw the line at a less radical position. There are a lot of people, for example, who think that we shouldn’t have factory farms but that eating animals is okay as long as they are raised in a free range environment. Other people believe that eating animals isn’t moral, but experimenting on them when it is medically necessary is. It is all a matter of interrogating your conscience and finding out what the correct answer for you is….. Read the full article at animal rights

This is about eve-teasing death of a girl, due to torture meted out to her in a far off town , away from her home, where she had gone for studying. That teenage girl by name Muthu selvi, was studying in the XI th standard . Global Warming Fact or Fiction?

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Anyone who is a regular watcher of television, spends any time on the internet, or has a radio, has probably heard of global warming. Media focus on the issue has sharpened in recent years.

There is no set agreement among experts about the subject, but it is easy to understand why people are worried about the topic. If the reports’ more negative believers are right, the ramifications will be truly unsafe for any future generations.

Unfortunately, many individuals do not realize how easy, as well as how affordable it is to join in on the fight against global warming.

One of the biggest chances that you have to help prevent global warming or lessen its impact is in your home. For example, many people allow their electrical appliances to keep running even when they are not in use so to help the environment, they should be turned off.

Govenor wants to spend more on Iowa tourism

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

The governor of Iowa wants to increase Iowa tourism by spending even more of our state’s overburdened budget. His idea to raise the deposit on bottles, include even more containers, and only return eighty percent of the deposit back to consumers failed miserably. The idea was seen as a scheme to collect more taxes from the citizens of this state in a way that wouldn’t be recognized as another tax. We saw through that, got the bill defeated, and in effect, decreased the amount of our money that he had to spend. The problem is that he doesn’t want to see that the money he had planned on isn’t there, he still wants to spend it anyway. There are many things our state needs such as road repair and he proposes to get the money for that one by raising registration fees and usage taxes. He has taken an increase in gas tax off the table, bad idea Chet. An increase in registration fees and use taxes would be paid entirely by citizens of the state, whereas an increase in fuel taxes would be paid by everyone that travels the states highways. This means that the countless number of semis that travel across our state would also end up paying for the wear and tear on our highways.

Minnesota stimulus

Thursday, February 7th, 2008

The candidates did not seem to spend as much time in Minnesota as other states. Of course living in Iowa I saw them almost nonstop for the past year. I would have thought that they could have increased Minnesota tourism travel by a significant amount if they had spent that much time up there. Minnesota is a large state without too many large population areas, but they to care about their politics and would have traveled some distances just to hear the candidates positions on the subjects they are interested in. When they drive those distances they don’t just turn around an go home either. They find a place to spend the night and they find a place to eat. They may even work a shopping trip in as long as they are in the big city. Talk about an economic stimulus package. With that many people spending that much money Minnesota could have turned their economy around without federal help. But the candidates aren’t interested in fixing problems, oh no they are only interested in talking about how they will fix things if they get elected. You have to give them your vote before they will do anything, they won’t do it out of the goodness of their hearts.

Thursday, February 7th, 2008

If the primaries were held as first in the nation here it would increase Wisconsin tourism. Unfortunately the parties fined other states for pulling such a stunt and it didn’t go well for them. They weren’t allowed to send any representatives, and I think that was a little harsh. Just because the parties broke the ruled doesn’t mean that the citizens shouldn’t have the opportunity to decide who they want for a candidate. I think that is just wrong and should be against the constitution someplace. Our government was founded on being of the people, by the people, and for the people. That principle is violated when they can’t send their representatives. What would happen to our democracy if that rule were allowed during the main election rather than the primary? There was a large turnout on the democratic side for the election that didn’t mean a thing. I don’t know if their vote would have changed things or not, but that isn’t the point, the point is that the people were not represented even if it was only a minor election. If I were king I would have found a better punishment for the offending state, something like no income for any of the political ads that were run.

Missouri doesn’t get to decide it all

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

All of the candidates seem to be showing up at all the Missouri tourism events. I guess they think the more people that they get to see face to face the more votes they will get. I’m not that kind of a voter. I want to know what they believe in and what their agenda is. Take Hillary for example, she has made it apparent that she is going to push for health care for everyone, but she doesn’t state how she is going to pay for it. Is universal health care actually going to be cheaper than what we have now or is it going to cause our taxes to go sky high? I think the increases in taxes is likely, therefore she is out of my mix. Obama voted for partial birth abortion. Once I heard that he was off my radar, that is one issue I am becoming more and more resolute on. Edwards dropped out of the race so his opinions are irrelevant any more. Romney just doesn’t sit right with me, he just looks like the rich kid who always gets what he wants. He changes his views to fit the situation. Huckaby was really looking good but his support has dwindled and you can’t support a man that you know is going to loose. That leaves me with McCain.

Politics driving tourism legislation in South Dakota

Monday, February 4th, 2008

Politicians in South Dakota are really pushing South Dakota tourism in their legislation. They are trying to get rid of any obstacles that would keep people from making tourist destinations and anything that would keep people from coming to the state. I know a lot of people wonder what the government can do to help. Well, in my opinion the best things they can do involve removing regulations. There is far too much tax code written that , although not meant to hurt the industry, actually does. If you make it too cumbersome to run a motel then there will be no more motels built. Some health regulations need to be in place, but the laws are more severe for tourist places than they are for local places. Are tourists more important than citizens of the state? I certainly don’t think so. The politicians seem to be way too quick to make legislation to address a single incident that likely will never happen again. The unintended consequences are often a big road block to the tourist industry. For some reason the legislators only see a problem and a fix and never even try to see what else the new legislation will affect.

State of Iowa chases Film Production with Tax Credits

Saturday, January 12th, 2008

Iowa recently passed HF 892 which creates the Film Promotion Program & Tax Credits.  Iowa is known for two films, State Fair, and Bridges of Madison County.  With the creation of this Iowa Film Tax Credit program, the state is aggressively positioning itself as a film location for the shooting of television and movies.

The program provides for the issuance of tax credit certificates that are issued to investors in a movie or television production and the producer of a movie or television production for qualified expenditures made during filming within the state.

These tax credits are transferable which allows them to be bought and sold.  This creates a financing mechanism that helps attract producers to the state while selling the tax credits and utilizing the proceeds to help fund the production of their film.

Political Reform For The Mortgage Will It Hurt Low Payment Motorcycle Loans

Friday, November 16th, 2007

In the last half of 2007 there was roughly $127 Billion in adjustible rate mortgages which flipped off the low introductory payment and eventually left buyers with a payment so high many had no choice but to file bankruptcy. This is only the begenning since 2008 will see $526 Billion dollars flip from adjustible rate mortgages. With such substantial hardships to come there will definitly be some political reform in the mortgage market.

However, it has yet to be seen if this reform will hurt other markets like the the one for motorcycle loans with low payments. Since many motorcycle loans are purchased with low introductry payments they resemble an adjustible rate mortgage, but on a much smaller scale. With this just be overlooked as a non issue or will politicians hit all financial markets with a big sledge hammer?

One thing is for sure the government should not bail out this situation. That will leave tax payers financing more crap debt for those who made risky investments. This is not fair to tax payers and no tax payer should stand for it.

Do not let politicians make bad decision for you. Make sure you get out and vote to ensure that you are not paying for those who make risky gambles on real estate and other investments. In the end, you will feel a good accomplishiment to vote your way.

Should the U.S. Government Bail Out Homeowners?

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

We all know that many U.S. homeowners with sub-prime mortgages have gone into foreclosure or are at serious risk of going into foreclosure.  This crisis is so widespread that many lenders, including one of the largest mortgage lenders: Countrywide Financial, have taken a serious financial hit due to their sub-prime mortgage loans.  Some private banks have come to the rescue, like Bank of America’s assistance to Countrywide but the U.S. Government has also stepped in to pressure many sub-prime lenders to restructure their adjustable rate loans to sub-prime lenders.

Many are blaming the lenders for making inappropriate loans to sub-prime lenders that allowed them to receive an adjustable rate mortgage with little or no down payment. These borrowers could afford to make payments on the 100% loan-to-value ARMs with the low interest rates that were available at the time but after just a moderate increase in interest rates, these borrowers have seen their monthly payments increase significantly.  While the lenders should be held responsible for the financial impact to their company of making loans that were sure to have interest rate increases and higher monthly payments to borrowers who could barely afford the loan at the initial interest rates, the borrowers should also be responsible for accepting a loan they surely wouldn’t be able to afford in the near future.

This sub-prime mortgage crisis is also driving up housing rental prices across the country as many sub-prime lenders who probably should have been renting in the first place have lost their homes and the demand for rental housing has increased.  Investment/Rental property owners are enjoying the market price increases due to this activity as many owners are receiving many more inquiries from their condo and home rental advertising.

The U.S. Government is bailing out many of these borrowers for poor financial decisions and eliminating the personal consequences for these borrowers.  While the impact of this activity to the U.S. economy is undeniable, it is inappropriate for the Federal Government to be bailing out individual borrowers who made poor personal financial decisions.  These borrowers should not be able to keep a home that they cannot afford to pay for at current interest rates just because their defaults will have a negative impact on the economy.  The lenders and borrowers made bad decisions that will affect us all, but we must endure that consequence as a byproduct of our free market economy.

Office Design and The Executive Office Ego

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

It is commonly believed that what separates the men from the boys is grit and determination. Most people think that, to climb the corporate ladder you have to be willing to put everything into your job. People believe that this, combined with some natural skills, is enough for anyone to succeed in the American dream. They are wrong. What is needed, more than anything else, is a sense of theater. Although people are rarely consciously aware of symbols of rank and status within the office interior design, unconsciously we know all about them. More important than hard work, more important than ruthlessness, more important even than competency, is self-confidence.

As a matter of fact, you can see the evidence of rank in almost any artifact of your typical office interior design. Take executive offices, for example. I work in a large office, and many of the lower ranking employees are forced to work in cramped, uncomfortable cubicles. Their executive office chairs are nothing to look at, and in fact are part of their low rank. The executive chairs of the partners, by contrast, are made of genuine leather – comfortable, sumptuous, and conspicuously expenses. This is probably much like any office interior design, and something that most people wouldn’t glance twice at. A closer look at the executive chairs, however, reveals some important distinctions between those who will one day make it and those who won’t.

Contrast the executive chairs of any of the junior partners, and you’ll see important distinctions. Mike Smith, for example, has received promotion after promotion although he has only been here for a few months and is not all that bright. On his plain desk chair, he has added a leather pad. ostensibly, it is for ergonomic purposes, but in fact it conveys a powerful subconscious message. It says that his current status as an underling is only a temporary thing, that already management and greatness or within his grasp.

Right next door, James Jones’ cubicle tells a very different story. His executive chair also has pads on it, but they are merely functional. They serve to help his back problems, but their undecorated features tell the story of his life at the company. He will never sit in one of the sumptuous executive chairs – He has twice the smarts of Mike, but less than half the ambition. His chair looks too comfortable, in fact, and he is too comfortable as well, wallowing in his position of insignificance.
