Central Iowa has a number of fascinating history in the political world and one of the most interesting is Carrie Chapman Catt, a leader of the U.S. woman suffrage movement, founder of the League of Women Voters, crusader for international peace, and an advocate for the expansion of women’s rights throughout the world.  How interesting it is to study the movement, to see the difficulties that the movement had to overcome to gain equality in the polls for women and the dedication of women (and some men) to the cause in the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics located on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames.
If you have an interest in politics and want to study the history of the women’s movement you will want to visit Central Iowa and the museum at ISU.

Some people don’t like to fly on commercial airlines. There are several reasons for this. Lately, it seems to be the most important reason for people not wanting to fly commercial is all the added security that’s been implemented since all of the security scares at airports. These checkpoints and thorough searches that are required of every passenger are so time consuming that it often takes hours before you can even get on the plane. The other reason why people don’t like to fly commercial airline flights is because of all the strangers they’re packed in with. The seats on a plane are so close together to accommodate more passengers that you are often sandwiched between two undesirable people for a long, often hours long, flight.

Perhaps, one of the biggest advantages to chartering a private jet is privacy. As you likely assumed from the phrase “privately chartered jet,” you are given your own private jet to travel on. When booking your reservations, you will have to give a preset list of all of your passengers or your traveling party. Aside from your predetermined passengers, the only other individuals on your privately chartered jet should include the crew. Depending on what private jet chartering company you choose to do business with, that crew should compose of a pilot and maybe a copilot and a few flight attendants. Speaking of the onboard crew, that crew is another one of the many benefits to chartering a private jet.

There are other reasons why people seek name changes. Possibly they are just unhappy with their name and want to change it to something else. This is okay as long as it is not being changed with some type of fraudulent intent in mind. In other words, people cannot change their names or assume the identity of another simply to avoid creditors or other type of legal action. Name change requests cannot be offensive, as in a racial slur, or be intentionally confusing. So with this in mind, how did Prince change his name to an unrecognizable symbol if it’s not allowed?

Time spent waiting goes without saying. Most of the time when it comes to public commercial flights, most of your time is wasted, especially waiting at the departure hall, going through the hectic luggage system along with hundreds or even thousands of others, going through the hogging security system which sometimes would take your patience away and many more.
The worst part of it nowadays, after the incident of September 11 the security system at all airports has become very troublesome indeed. Starting in the year 2001, you have to be at least 2 or 3 hours earlier than your flight time.

If you ask around, you’ll get a lot of different opinions about tattoos, both pro and con. Many people use tattoos to help express who they are and what they’re about, completely endorsing tattoos and what they endorse. However, you’ll also get people who are completely against tattoos and couldn’t imagine who in their right mind would allow something to be permanently inked on their skin. Both sides seem to have valid points.

John Lennon, I think, started the trend of a Christmas song with a higher consciousness - with “And so this is Christmas, and what have you done? and “And so this is Christmas (war is over), for weak and for strong (if you want it), the rich and the poor ones, the road is so long…. Imagine (or remember) how those frolicky, campy, or solemn and religious Christmas songs now had the words “war and “fight directly stated rather than implied? Stunning.
